Here is a sample of my freelance journalism to date. I have written for publications such as The Guardian, Media Wales and The Bournemouth Echo. I have also written a French language feature for La Presse de la Manche.
The easiest way to see all my articles is to take a quick peek at my freelance portfolio (pdf). Here, you can see all the articles one after the other in a nice shiny pdf. Click to take you straight through, but it’s best to right-click and download it.
Below, I’ve put up some small images of some of my work.
First off, here is an article written for The Guardian in 2008. In the article, I look at the every day challenges wheelchair users have to face due to an inaccessible environment. And I get to test out the top ten restaurants in London as an undercover journalist to see if they cater for disabled customers. Click on the pictures to take you through to the online version of the article.
Here’s a piece on ‘Extreme Male Beauty’, the scarily titled C4 series examining the rise of the male beauty industry. The show demonstrates that some men are so desperate for perfection that they turn to steroids, pec enhancers and God knows what else. Written for Media Wales in April 2009, I urge the men of Britain to steer clear of the beauty industry’s clutches. Have a look for yourself

And here are links to some news articles I have written for university online publications, including Intrafish, Alt:Cardiff, Substance and The Wessex Scene.
